The Plymouth Youth Basketball Association (PNBA) was founded with the mission of providing top-tier basketball instruction and competitive opportunities for the youth of Plymouth. Our approach focuses on teaching fundamental basketball skills through structured drills and well-balanced games—an approach we felt was essential for the development of young athletes in our community. Currently, over 250 players in grades 1-8 are participating in our co-ed recreational and travel teams.

Fundraising plays a crucial role in helping us enhance the program for our players. In recent years, we were fortunate to secure a grant that allowed us to refurbish the outdoor basketball courts at West Elementary School, providing a significant benefit for the youth of Plymouth.

Given Plymouth's economic diversity, fundraising enables us to keep program costs affordable and provide scholarships for children who might otherwise be unable to participate. With limited sources of revenue beyond player registration fees, we face rising costs each year for insurance, gym space, officials, and equipment. As a result, we rely heavily on sponsorships to ensure the league can operate smoothly while keeping participation costs manageable for families.

The PNBA offers two sponsorship opportunities which include multiple advertising channels aimed directly at local businesses and consumers including:

Team Sponsorship

Cost: $300

• Your company name printed on the back of game jerseys for your team.

• A logo ad on our website www.pnhoops.com with a link directly to your business website.

Corporate Sponsorship

Cost:  $1,000

Corporate Sponsorship – We are looking for four corporate sponsorships. In addition to the above, you will also have one of our four recreational divisions named after your company. Your company will be prominently displayed on our website and on our social media pages.

Our philosophy is to teach basketball fundamentals through drills and balanced competitive games. We believe that mastering the fundamentals is the key to achieving great things on the court. This solid foundation sets our players up for success and helps them reach their full potential.

Instructional League

The Instructional program for 1st and 2nd graders begins in January and runs for 8-10 weeks on Saturday mornings. This is a learn to play/skill building program where players learn the basics of the game and ramp up to organized scrimmages.

 Recreational League

This League is for boys in grades 3-8. The season will start in November with Drills for Skills clinics at area gyms. During these clinics, each player's skills are assessed so that balanced teams can be selected based on age and abilities. At the end of the drills sessions, players will scrimmage with their age groups to be evaluated for when we make teams. All teams are drafted by the board not the coaches. We feel this helps in making the teams as even as possible. The season starts with two weeks of practices and then games start the week before Christmas. Each team plays 10 regular season games depending on the division. Games are either once or twice a week with playoffs starting in March.

Travel Leagues

Our travel program is for competitive and serious players only. We have teams at each grade level who play in the South Shore Youth Basketball Travel League. Your child  must tryout in order to make one of these teams. Tryouts are mid October.
